Along the west wall of the room is the evolution of washers and irons. The iron collection dates back to the cast irons that had to be heated on the stove to early electrical ones. The washer collection includes a washboard with bucket to the later hand cranked ones. Other appliances that were a necessity to the pioneers also on display including a butter churn.
