Could this be a view in your community?  If yes, perhaps your community could be a location used for an upcoming film.

Manitoba Culture, Heritage & Tourism, Film Programs & Location Services has been contacted by a local producer who is working on a big feature film and needs assistance finding extraordinary landscapes.  Here is the description of what they are looking for:

"We are scouting for the most dramatic prairie in Manitoba. It should have as few tress as possible and be uncultivated land. The reference is the Saskatchewan Badlands or Grasslands National Park.  Since there really is no short grass prairie in Manitoba, then the most dramatic we can find will be of interest. Rolling hills, valleys, sweeping vistas, bluffs, anything without cultivated fields. We want to look like just north of Abilene and Fort Worth Texas in the 1850-1870."

If you have any ideas or photos of such areas in your community, please contact Kris Doull, kris.doull@gov.mb.ca, or Michael Blatherwick, michael.blatherwick@gov.mb.ca, for more information.
