LANGFORD WINTER PARK & SKI TRAILS

LANGFORD WINTER PARK (Fulford-Trail Ski Trail)
Located on Crown Land, 3.5 mi east of Neepawa on PTH #16
Started in the middle 70's, however, over the last 10 years the Ski Club has been revived, a snow machine was purchased with grant money and a warming cabin built and moved on site.  Trees and earth near PTH #16 that was moved by the Highways Department became the tobogganing area.    

All trails are well signed and regularly groomed.  The Toboggan hill is wide, safe, and groomed.  The warming cabin is family and group friendly. The Winter Park area has become popular with group activities including birthday parties.  And, of course, there are those people who love to ski at night under a
full moon with lights on their headwear!

Facilities include a warming cabin and outhouse.  Ski Trails consisting of 5 km of Classic skiing (2 trails), 2.2 km. of skate skiing trails and 4.4 km of Snowshoeing Trails (2 trails).  An aadditional Snowshoeing trail is under development.  The Tobogganing Hill has two slopes. Attractive Features of the Winter Park area is that it is easily accessible and is
often used by the traveling public.  It is well sheltered out of the wind and the ski trails are double tracked so people can exercise and socialize at the same time. There are beginner trails on flat or gently rolling land as well as challenging trails for
experienced skiers.
