Manitoba Passport (MAFRI)

Will be an opportunity for students to learn more about their province. Students will move through 12 interactive stations covering a variety of topics including: agriculture, environment, wildlife and cultural activities. Oak Hammock Marsh, Ag in the Classroom, Food Development Centre and Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives (MAFRI), to name a few will have displays for the students to visit. Students in groups of about 20 will visit each display throughout the day – all students to visit all displays.

Of Songs... and Battles

Performed by seven youth from the Consiel jeunesse provincial, a provincial youth council.

The Manitoba Francophone Society will present a 45-minute interactive musical on the history of the Francophone community in Manitoba. The play entitled, “Songs and Battles!” is specifically geared to students in grades 4 to 6.

The story of the francophone community in Manitoba told through song and music. Funny and moving, this presentation will leave you with a better appreciation for the history and hope for the future.
